Results of Pew’s new report on the “State of Blogging” are all over the Net: fewer than one-third of U.S. Internet users say they know what a blog is and have read one. By contrast, a mere 5 percent have downloaded an RSS newsreader. Results are a good match with a recent WordBiz survey. Over 450 marketers have responded to our 1-minute RSS Quiz (see below). 72 percent say they are “familiar” with the term RSS. But only 31 percent say they are subscribing to blogs via RSS.
