Glenn Reynolds was awfully interesting on the first panel. Must admit I haven’t been a regular reader of his Instapundit blog. But he’s a good thinker, a good writer and hence a good commentator. He gets it. He’s a law professor and not a journalist. But he’s got all the right journalistic instincts about what to say and what not to say in his blog.

Moderator Ed Cone asked him how he grew traffic to his blog from 1,600 daily visitors to 100,000 page views a day. “Well, I’ve never had a business or marketing plan,” he said. Huge laugh from the audience. This is NOT a business-minded or coporate audience. By and large attendees are either big names from the blogosphere (Doc Searls, David Weinberger, Amy Wohl, Jeff Jarvis and many others) or academics.
